Default Detroit Bus Stops Getting Upgrades

"DDOT area bus stops getting upgrades but not from the city"

Listen to Sit On It Detroit's interview on the WDET about how they're promoting literacy, sustainability and benches for transit riders across the city. Awesome stuff!! Congrats Charles Molnar and Kyle Bartell keep up your great work. click the link below to listen.

Have you seen some of the benches that are already in place? They have been covered in plowed snow... and pissed on/trashed. How do they expect the books inside to not get dirty? Has anyone looked at some of the bus stops around the city lately? I think that this year is the worst... they are downright filthy, even in the more "gentrified" areas. I won't even step inside of the shelters because it would mean stepping into a slushy pool of vomit and left over meat bones and stuff. I think that the bus stop at gratiot and russell takes the cake for being the most disgusting bus stop ever.
