Worse than the lake that was on I-94 from the water main break on Trumbull last month.

Kudos also to the Driver of that Front Loader, who I hear is a DWSD worker. That vehicle is difficult enough to maneuver on its own much less flooded ice and water. Not to mention it was moving people instead of material.
Disappointed the media is focusing on the breaks and not the employees who have been working in wet conditions on bitter days while worried about their job security. At least one kudos here and there where warranted would be nice.

    That was a huge mess!
While we're on the subject of the break I just Alexis Wiley speaking on behalf of the city. When did she ditch WJBK to become a Detroit city spokeperson?

Great job regarding the driver[[s) who ignored the multiple police barricades & drove into the flood to only get stuck.....

Are they going to have to extract those vehicles from solid ice that deep?

How do they even approach a task like that? Jack hammers? Pick axes?

Foul language: Towing "ONE" Car out of Ice FAIL ! He folds it half!

One report said they were using pick axes to locate and clear drains so maybe there was still some liquid to drain. There's bound to be too much ice left on the road.

I've seen them use towed jet engines to dry the track at Michigan International Speedway. Maybe they can use something like that to melt the ice.

They said they'll have to assess the integrity of the road before reopening. Makes sense if it was in danger of being washed away by the water pressure.

I think Conners Creek is trying to make a comeback.

They'll be superficially blow-dried and sent to New Orleans and Florida to some sappington for sale. We got enough of their water-logged treats........

That was a mess! I'm skittish driving into just 2 inches of water. Crazy for folks to ignore barriers once they were installed. Water ALWAYS WINS!!
