Well, the Red Wings lost. But it was a fun game to watch. Although I had wished the game would have been played at Comerica, I have to say the ice rink "fit" much, much better on the football field. It didn't look lost like the rink in Comerica did. Good call for the fans there and on TV. Still would have liked all those Canadians spending time downtown, though.

I didn't make it to the Ann Arbor event and had no desire to, but downtown was jam packed with Canadians [[not Canadiens), Leafs and Wings fans alike New Years Eve, and well into the night.

It was similar on Saturday and Sunday, lot's of Leafs and London Knights jerseys.

I wonder what Chicago Blackhawks fans felt about the game.
