    Default Curiosity regarding liberal enlightenment

Well, as the country is sliding deeper and deeper into economic malaise as a result of socialist policies implemented by the current administration, I am curious if there are any honest liberals on this forum who are beginning to have doubts about their choice to ask for this disaster by voting for Obama.

    LOL!!!

Six months into it, and already Batts is throwing in the towel. Well, he's snapping it, anyway.

My only regret is Obama hasn't gone far enough in nationalizing the banks, forcing them to lend to credit-worthy Americans- our money, by the way.

We need to return to true conservative ideals of a 90% tax rate on the earnings of people over 5 million per year, so we can end legacy wealth, which has destroyed our economy in recent years.

Speculating with the untolled billions concentrated in so few hands has been the death knell for our economy, thanks to the policies of the Bush Crime Family.

Lorax, we know that you will not relent no matter how much evidence is staring you in the face. The query is directed towards HONEST liberals.

One must look at the source of the inquiry, and wish for an HONEST conservative to discuss such things.

About all we can hope for from Batts is the occasional anectdotal drive-by.

He gave up the day of the election.

In all fairness, Obama took on a job to correct many wrongs, probably the most problem-laden entry to the Presidency in the history of this country. Worse than FDR's. The only fault I find with Obama and his cabinet, taking a job they are not capable of doing. Their actions are saying that.

Maybe due to many factors and influences, it's just impossible to fix. I've resigned myself to the fact, what ever happens, I'll get through it.

In the words of the dumbass, "Bring it on". How prophetic those words are becoming to be.

Sstash, what happens when [[not if) it becomes clear that Obama is making things far worse [[as did FDR)?

far worse than another four years of Bush light? not one excutive in any business could trun around the big mess in six months..honest liberals know that his plate is full and that it will take some time...and how long was the great depression?
look if it is honesty you want ..why not look in th mirrror and recognize this mess will take a few years to fix..no one but the unrealistic expected anything less...but it's funny how the right has not offered anything remotely productive other tahn more free market bs.

I don't know. I do know what happens when toys are taken away from a spoiled kid. It never goes well. Lorax, up above displays a perfect example of the mentality that prevails in this country. She's all for government donning the jackboots and "forcing" private companies to do business with clientele whether they want to or not. "It's our money anyways".Following that logic the government should just issue everyone a debit card to Fort Knox.

    Let's divvy it up.

Ask me again in about 4 years, when Obama's programs have had time to succeed or fail on their own merits.

A chance to succeed or fail? It isn't a light switch, stimulus money is intended to have a rapid effect...the only effect so far is a negative amplification of bad economic indicators.

It’s been my experience as a Social Darwinist living with and advocating for the rich and well-born, that believing that you can “ever have enough” is an idea that lives with those who don’t rub elbows with the truly rich and well-born. There is a “fictional finalism” that lives with the elite. “This will be my last million” maybe a lie that some of the truly elite tell themselves, but when checked against reality it is but a form of self-delusion. You can never leave enough to your heirs.

“You can’t be too young or too thin.” "You can’t be too rich or too powerful.” The idea that there is ever enough of any of the good things in life is a fiction...a fiction that, those who haven’t enjoyed all that elite schools [[at home and abroad), Aspen, Palm Springs, Palm Beach etc. have to offer, believe is real.

What is your point Omaha? If it is that some people, usually successful people are perpetually ambitious...OK, great, nobody has a problem with that assertion.

On the other hand, if you are saying that the government should, by the use and threat of force, somehow prevent an individual from pursuing their ambitions [[within a just system of laws).....then you are contradicting the primary core and essence of our country.

You have to love Cc's "ifs" to bolster his arguments, it's as if everyone agrees with his basic assumptions.

If they are rational thinking humans then they do agree with these basic assumptions.

How's that for one of my "ifs"?

Did I say you did? If you want to be credible [[something you might owe to yourself), then you might want to explain yourself.
