    http://www.dbusiness.com/DBusiness/N...ampus-Martius/

Come celebrate the new year with the fourth annual New Year's Eve celebration in Campus Martius Park! Thanks to our presenting sponsors, Opportunity Detroit and Bamboo Detroit, we have an exciting FREE community event planned for you!

This year, the event will feature a "Kid's Drop" at 6:30 pm for those families with young ones who can't quite make it til midnight but want still want to celebrate the coming of a new year and experience the excitement of the countdown.

Ice skating hours will be extended until 1 am and live entertainment will be provided by DJ Tom T and the band The Strange.

Fountain Bistro at Campus Martius Park will have beverage centers placed around the park - drink tickets will be $10 for two drinks.

We will also have a food truck rally around Campus Martius, with area favorites like the The Mac Shack [[gourmet mac n cheese), Rolling Stone [[wood fired pizza), and Beignets [[French doughnuts).

Finally, at midnight, we will all join in a countdown to the New Year. Local artists from the Detroit Design Center have created a unique Detroit-themed ball that will drop from the top of the Chase Tower at midnight.

We look forward to seeing everyone at downtown Detroit's New Year's Eve celebration!

Looks like a lot of fun. Do you know if the s'mores, hot cocoa, etc. will still be running that night?

The usual Campus Martius stuff [[Arctic Zone warming tent, s'mores stations) will be there, in addition to the new stuff for the NYE event [[food trucks, live entertainment, etc).
