Default Michigan Legislature Passes Scrap Fighting Package

It only took 3 fucking years.

    -No more cash payments.

-Scrapper have to wait 3 business days for certain items.

-Pictures have to be taken of scrap, weighing, and sellers at time of transaction and when trying to get their money from special ATM.

-Prohibition on certain items like municipal property like statues, lighting, monuemnt, railroad equipment cemetery and funeral material [[how in the FUCK was this not already a law?).

-Dealers have to make contribute and/or maintain a database of stolen scrap metal.

-500 dollar fine and/or 90 days in jail if found knowingly fucking with the database.

-5000 dollar fine and/or five years in jail for selling/buying an item off the no-no list.

    He's out of business.

    1. This finally passed
    2. RTA last year.
    3. We might have just elected a mayor without his head up his ass.
    4. The Kermit the Frog voiced dictator is getting the boot next year.
    5. The public hopefully actually votes to fund transportation.
6.With the entire country looking at the bullshit they just pulled yesterday the senate/house might be getting a shakeup.

This city/state might accidentally turn into a decent place yet.

Its 3 years too late...but don't worry, there are still plenty of horses that will get saved because of this.

Do you have a link that shows this has passed? My only research found the bill passed by the senate amending the 3-day wait rule. Nothing about subsequent passage by the house or the gov.

Closing the barn door after wonderful "entrepreneurial" scrap dealers have stuffed their pockets [[and a lot of other things) with the windfall from the "free enterprise" of buying and destroying the obviously stolen parts of our city. Rather than being fined they should all be in jail. But, of course, that will never happen to these salt-of-the-earth "businessmen" who gave scads of money to legislators to protect them while they profited from our misery.

No this is preventative as these scrappers have picked over democratic areas and have started to make inroads in republican ones.

    Never mind.

    I jumped the gun.

I also gave these POS elected officials too much credit.

    Just too much like right.

So not only is it stalled, it's appearantly dead.

This is the main dickhead in charge of defanging it.

I wouldn't buy a used lawnmower from this prick yet he's holding the state hostage.

This is who we have to thank for putting him in office.

Sure would suck if some of the scummier elements in our community were to the metal on his property and neighborhood.

I mean, I gotta go with Brizee here. Once the scrappers have eaten up whatever there is to eat up around here, his constiuents are next. And then, all of the sudden, this will become the most pressing issue of the year and he will "champion" it like none other. The lawmakers inability to look down the road and see how voting or not voting on legislation will affect their constiuents, the areas around them and the state is just... amazing. It's like these people never had to worry about the future because they were set for.... oh wait....
