Cadillac dealership in Montreal in 1913.

Just found this on an internet archive of city pictures of Montreal. Long forgotten dealership from the early teens of last century on St Antoine street. Note how this is taken from a french newspaper and the company signage was for the most part english. That is the way things were in Montreal for a very long time.

Yes, there is a lot of dumbass reaction to english as the once dominant language. But you know, the one bit of difference it makes having one jursidiction resist the all-encompassing english juggernaut of North America is worth it.
