Free Kid Rock Concert

Anybody else check out Kid Rock for free tonight? Sure, you had to watch from the gates outside of Comerica Park, but still, it was free. We caught over an hour of rehearsal, and he was still going when we left. Not sure what time they kicked off tonight. Funniest thing he said was when the lighting was off during what is supposed to be a crowd participation situation.

"Try and turn the lights on the crowd when THEY are supposed to sing, otherwise, it's just stupid. Don't let it get you down too much though, as tonight has been anything but seemless so far."

I'm not a fan either but I'm going with the wife tonight. Shes a huge fan. I'm looking at it like this. Lynard Skynrd is going to be there tonight and I've never seen them.

At least Kid started some new jobs in MI with his new beer. I heard it created about 300 jobs.

I heard that, at the show tonight, a brief nod to Michael Jackson was greeted with some booing.
It's comforting to know that the knuckle-dragging redneck racist contingent is still willing to come "down" to Detroit, what with so many of "those" people always being around here, brandishing guns & knives and leaping out from behind dumpsters and shrubs, and all.

Maybe you should have went to the show for yourself instead of making racist claims. Great times had by all except for maybe the girls who had to wait in hour long bathroom lines. Wish more shows like this happened downtown, awesome fun time.

"WHO: All fans are welcome to kick-off Kid Rock's highly anticipated two night stand at Comerica Park with a pre-show Block Party!

WHAT: The Block Party includes the Made In Detroit 2nd Stage, Cheli's Chili cook off, The Metal Mulisha freestyle Motocross exhibition as well as Classic Cars & Hot Rods. The festivities are open to the general public.
