2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Event at Local Farmers Market

Lincoln Park, MI, July 16, 2009 -Will Buddy the Chinese Crested Hairless from Dearborn uphold his title of the Ugliest Dog Contest at the Dog Days of Summer event at the Fort Visger CDC Farmers Market?

Fort Visger CDC Farmers Market will have their 2nd annual Dog Days of Summer event at the Sunday, July 19th farmers market. The hours of the market are 11 am – 4 pm. The Fort Visger CDC Farmers Market is in the Southfield Road Municipal Parking Lot between I-75 and Fort Street in Lincoln Park.

This years Dog Days of Summer event will be expanded to three contests. In addition, to the Ugliest Dog Contest will be a Dog Look-a-Like Contest [[dog that most looks like owner) and Most Talented Dog contest. The contests will be at; noon – Most Talented Dog Contest, 1:30 pm – Ugliest Dog Contest and 3:00 pm – Dog Look A-Like Contest.

In addition, doggie themed vendors will be on hand to sell their handmade made items such as doggie scarves, cookies and other great things! Los Angeles, California based pet food manufacturer DOGSWELL® will be on hand to distribute samples. Also available at the farmers market on July 19th will be the farmers with produce, herbs and plants as well as specialty food vendors and crafters.
