A cesspool would be nice. We can be known for alley cesspools like San Antonio is known for alley canals! http://www.detroityes.com/mb/showthr...-is-a-cesspool

Forget about midtown & downtown alleys! I would to see residential alleys used again, because now we have trash, abandoned tires and furniture is just piled up and down our streets, garbage trucks spill remaining waste and sideswipe cars

I try to clean up the alley behind our place from time to time, but the trash just never seems to stop. I really wish that there was more use for these alleys, but most of them could use a lot of work on the concrete before anything was actually feasible.

When GM renovated the neighborhood just to the north of their HQ on WGB and renamed it "New Center Commons," they also restored the alleys to their original usage. The houses are tightly sited which allow no space for driveways so the houses were given new, functional 2-car garages and, if space allowed, an area for slab parking. The alleys are to this day landscaped and kept spotlessly clean.

Now THAT is an amazing use for an alley. It looks great, is incredibly functional and adds a huge benefit to the property owner. I'd honestly prefer alleys like these over something all ~Alley Town~ like [[I think it was) Model D proposed. Real, functional alleys that are well kept.
