Anyone Heard Of The Detroit Music Awards?

I've known about it for quite some time, but it has never attracted much attention. I hope someday some big entertainment player takes it over. The red carpet would be on the river walk, and the show would take place in COBO's new Grand Ballroom.

I listened to a couple of songs from artists listed as winners. One was for an R&B award and the other for an electronic/dance music award. Both artists sounded like rock groups to me. Maybe that's why they haven't attracted much attention. Seriously, who ever heard of an R&B group with a name like Howling Diablos?

I've heard of them. The bass player from an old band I was in played at them a few years back. He was playing with a country singer, Janice [[or Janis?) was her first name, can't remember her last name, she was up for an award.
