    Default Detroit Design Festival 2013

    Just got home from the Detroit Design Fest opening event, a giant party at the Center for Creative Studies Taubman Design Center. If this opening is any indication, this fest will be on total blast for the next 5 days.

    A highlight for me will be Thursday night, Eastern Market After Dark - last year it was GREAT fun, many events.

    However I'll also detour over to the enclave of the artist/metalsmith Carl Neilbock, near Gratiot and Chene, for an open house. I met him tonight and I was in awe. He was a genuine aw shucks kinda guy.

    DJANGO! Be there, or be square!

    It's gonna be a great rest of the week.

    Look forward to exploring this. The amount of territory and events they are covering this year is quite intimidating... but I love it!

    Center for Creative Studies? It hasn't been that since 2001. Want to try the College for Creative Studies?
