Default Anyone hear of Birwood St. Wall to separate whites and blacks?

An interesting article in the Boston Herald about a wall built to separate whites and blacks along Birwood Street. I never heard of this. Wondering if this is well known? We always hear about 8 Mile or the border between Grosse Pointe and Detroit off of Jefferson. Never know about this. Have you?

Yes......and the back recesses of my brain are telling me there were two such critters around Detroit. Details are escaping me at the moment.
