West Riverfront/Old Det News Plant?

Does anyone know what going up where the old News printing plant was? Lots of dirt being moved and graded.

Are they finally starting work on the west riverfront? That'd be SWEET.

I would check with the Riverwalk folks. They did receive a ton of money for that area from the feds years ago. It may be remnants of what was left over when they bought the parcel and tore down the plant. [[It was the Freep plant BTW). http://www.detroitriverfront.org/contact/

They are not real good about updating the site. Take a look at what they have about the Port Authority. The latest pics show the site still fenced off. That is why I recommended contacting them if the OP had questions. Its their project. Once the money gets obligated I am out of the process.
