Default Opening of Palmer Park's New Splash Park!

    Palmer Park's New Splash Park!

    This is really cool!

    From article:

    http://peopleforpalmerpark.org/a-new...o-palmer-park/

The People for Palmer Park [[PFPP) applauds the efforts of Lear Corporation and the City of Detroit for donating time, effort and funds to build the Splash Park. Palmer Park was chosen by the City of Detroit Recreation Department as the location for the second splash park in the city to be built by Lear. The new Palmer Park Splash Park will be motion-censored and will be programmed to turn on at 10:00 am, and automatically shut off at 10:00 pm, when Palmer Park closes.

Let's try to be hopeful that this will be a positive new amenity to the area.

I LOVE Palmer Park! I really hope the park and the area does well. Lately it seems like the locals are making quite an effort to perk the area up.

Great amenity, but ... 10 pm? isn't that kinda late?

Given that the park is geared towards children, 10pm seems pretty late. Then again, if the park is motion-censor activated, if there are no children playing in it, it will turn off anyway.

10pm seems reasonable in the summer time, as the kids are out of school and it doesn't get truly dark until around that time.
