DFD vacants HQ at 250 W. Larned...

I recently learned my old workplace has been vacated. What is the plan for the former fire headquarters building at 250 W. Larned? Will it be razed for a new development or renovated?

I'm also told that DPD vacated 1300 Beaubien. Same question for that building.

DPD and DFD moved HQs to the former IRS building on Michigan and the Lodge Freeway. Are they using part of the floor area once occupied by the MGM Casino?

From what I have heard the deal has yet to close, so they will not be starting construction in September as the article states.

Two things. First rumor, they cannot get title insurance as they do not know who from the city as the authority [[due to the EFM in charge) to sell and execute the sales documents. Second rumor, the financing is not in place.

I was actually more interested in fire headquarters moving to the former IRS building on Michigan, though the hotel proposal for 250 W. Larned is also interesting. I worked at DFD HQ for years. What about 1300 Beaubien? Are all police department functions out of the building now?
