"pretty clear" only because we only have the statement of the one who isn't dead. The was no witness to how the fight started...only how it ended.

No one was arrested during a march late Saturday night throughout downtown Oakland, when some in a crowd of about 100 people broke windows, vandalized cars and buildings with spray paint and started fires in the street in protest of George Zimmerman's acquittal hours earlier in a Florida courtroom.

Here's the rioting that people in the media were salivating at the mouth for, rallied courtesy of the Occupy movement.

Our president was quick to make a statement after the media got a hold of the incident in Sanford, Florida. It would show great leadership if he made a statement now to promote unity and put an end to this Racial witch hunt.

He told police he was punched in the back of the head, and then several other suspects punched and kicked him when he fell to the ground.

I don't think it's "clear" that Trayvon started the physical confrontation. The testimony of the girl on the phone makes it sound like Zimmerman did.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trayvon...hel_Jeantel.29

She then heard Martin say, "What are you following me for?" followed by a man's voice responding, "What are you doing around here?" She said that she heard the sound of pushing before the phone went dead... Martin's friend told prosecutors that she heard words like "get off, get off", right before she lost contact with Martin

I told you, America! There will be a race riot after the white person killed a black person. The Media shouldn't have report the verdict live for millions to see. The Zimmerman vs. Martin case should be silenced.

^^^ I don't think the rioting will be as much as stated and the provocateurs will not be fully the persons thought or assumed. There's a hand in a glove on this one.

Someday we will look back at this racist witch hunt the same way we looked back at the way they burned people alive suspecting them to be witches and vampires.

Yesterday Eric Holder vowed to continue the witch hunt, asking people to email "tips" to the Government about Zimmerman, trying to nail him to the wall with anything that sticks. You'd expect this kind of behavior in Communist Russia or Castro's Cuba, but the United States? What has this nation become?

Zimmerman's brother was on talk shows yesterday and was quoted as saying the family had to meet in person because they suspected their phones to be tapped by the Government.
5 or 10 years ago if someone said that, we would look at them and say they were crazy. But today....with this Government.....not so much.

Holder also threatened the "Stand your ground" law.
Whether you believe in the law or not, the Federal Government's pursuit of State Laws is a direct violation of the 10th Amendment of the Constitution.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
    http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_Am10.html
It wouldn't be the first time the Government and this Administration acted outside of their delegated powers, and outside of the powers afforded them in the Constitution, so it's not surprising.

Democrat or not, you need to stop and ask yourself if you are OK with the Government continuously overstepping it's powers over the people. Political parties in power change, and you're handing all these new powers to the other side, and will rage like there's no tomorrow when it's the other side doing it!

That's a very liberal thing for you to say.
Do you think because Bush did it, it's OK for Obama to do it?
The whats good for the goose is good for the gander philosophy stinks.
It says that your guys are no better than the other guys.

You have to hold your party of choice to a higher standard, instead of lumping them all in as the dirty politicians they all are! The only way politicians will get better is at the insisted demand of their base.

Trayvon Martin's civil rights had been violated by George Zimmerman. He just walking home, not casing the area while [[mostly) middle class white and small number of middle class black folks lived. Zimmerman thought that a young black male wearing a hoodie represents a criminal element. He played cop and later kill him. The U.S. Dept of Justice will investigate this matter and come up with a decision to arrest Zimmerman. He's not down with the system, yet. In America judicial system NOT GUILTY mean your GUILTY without admitting that you involved with any crime.

Florida's Stand your ground law must be abolished! Putting any law that says 'NO BLACK FOLKS WITH HOODIES AND SHOWING GANG ATTIRE ALLOWED IN THIS AREA' will not keep them away. In every American cities, towns, villages and even the Amish community will see black folks wearing hoodies and showing their crip and blood lifestyle for their decision. The best we can do watch, spot and turn away and snitch in secret. Do go up their faces and give them warning. Those folks will watch you, ready to rob, kill and flee. Welcome to new age!

Liberals have been against the Patriot Act from the get go. Liberals also voted for Obama the second time because he was the lesser of two evils. Had Obama run in the sixties, his policies would very clearly be seen as center-right. Both Nixon's and Ike's policies were more liberal than Obama's. Liberals have been extremely vocal about his failure to dispose of the Patriot Act and his kowtowing to Wall Street. It is the conservatives who are "suddenly" against the wire taps when they were very much behind them under the Bush administration. It is that bald-faced hypocrisy Noise was referencing

Only when Bush was President. They stayed silent when Obama extended and expanded it. They should be RAGING. Everyone should be.
In a stunning defense of President George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping program, President Barack Obama has broadened the government's legal argument for immunizing his Administration and government agencies from lawsuits surrounding the National Security Agency's eavesdropping efforts.

In fact, a close read of a government filing last Friday reveals that the Obama Administration has gone beyond any previous legal claims put forth by former President Bush.

OK this was completely out of line on this lady's part.
    Wrong and hateful.

We have to ask ourselves how long we will put up with the media fanning the flames on this issue. When are we as a nation ready to heal and move forward? Or are we going to continue to be manipulated by the TV until they have the burning cities they so desperately can't wait to report on?

Even if he were to make a statement, the racial strife will continue regardless. There's plenty of it directed at him. Racism is here to stay sadly in this lifetime. It will only end when humans aren't around anymore.

He should have pulled out his gun and shot that _itch and claimed self-defense, like Zimmerman.

That white lady must have growing up hating black folks. She stands by Zimmerman and the white race; applaud his duty to kill anyone black, or minority wearing hoodies and gang attire. This is what America had come. Soon it will be laws to bring back Jim Crow and called 'Aparteid.'

No, I don't think so. Why don't you look up a REAL racist event like
    Bloody Sunday http://www.nps.gov/nr/travel/civilrights/al4.htm
    Emmett Till http://newsone.com/2032853/emmett-till-story/

Treyvon was not lynched burned or hung. Zimmerman and Martin got in a fight and one of them got shot. This is nothing like Jim Crow and Aparteid.

Racism will not end until humanity breeds to the point we all have become the same color, maybe would take a thousand years, I fear before that happens humans will have killed one another to extinction.

I credit Trayvon's parents for their controlled and healing post verdict response. There have been a number of 'incidents' since the verdict which were apparently acts of vengeance because not everyone agreed with the verdict. Deaths and beating and arson have resulted although the reporting of these incidents has been scant. Meanwhile, the usual race baiters of the left, Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, and Holder have been adding gas to the fire.

Obama inserted himself into the Zimmerman trial early on saying that Trayvon would look like his son if he had one. Maybe so. Having the President butt in like that could have caused a mistrial. Then Obama and his racist sidekick Holder, spent tax money to pump create protests demanding a trial. Zimmerman was then arrested. When it became obvious that the prosecution did not have enough on Zimmerman to get a guilty verdict for what he was being tried for, Judge Nelson, a lifelong Democrat, added third degree murder and manslaughter as charges customized to get a conviction. The jury didn't buy it.

Now we have the spectacle of Obama and Holder trying to create other charges to get some kind, any kind, of conviction. Civil rights violations can include almost anything. Civil rights also include the privacy rights Obama/Holder and Bush have decimated but that is an aside. Obama/Holder selectively enforce laws like petty dictators. Papa mentioned the 10th Amendment but that is routinely ignored by most Republicans and every Democrat at the federal level. There are also the 5th and 6th amendments which are relevant here. I have argued this on another thread and it comes down to this: 1) Court's have ruled that the Constitution doesn't alway mean what is says using dictionary definitions. Building on other court precedents seem more important than the actual wording of the Constitution. 2) The folks who control police powers get to interpret the Constitution any way they want by appointing politicians, judges, and controlling the mainstream press.

In the end, maybe Zimmerman will have the book thrown at him for walking on someone's front lawn if the civil rights gambit doesn't pan out. Hey, the Zimmerman witch hunt takes the spotlight off of Obama's domestic spying and IRS crimes. Tying us up second guessing the Zimmerman jury should be part of the story line of the larger story.

I think the Martin family should sue Zimmerman. In civil court there is a lower burden of proof and I believe a better chance to win. I would be focusing on making sure Zimmerman doesn't profit from this event. It wouldn't even bother me that I wouldn't be getting a lot of money out of Zimmerman. The Goldman family made life a living hell on OJ by doing this and indirectly lead to OJ finally going to prison.

Zimmerman is half white half Hispanic. But his white instincts tell him that there's a black kid wearing a hoodie walking down your neighborhood probably casing the area. Go check him out. If he does refuse to leave KILL HIM! Without using common sense Zimmerman kill Trayvon by means of FEAR! complying with self defense, standing his ground and protected by the second amendment of the Bill of Rights. In America, FEAR will cause people to panic, defending their hoods and put laws to keep the agents fear out. Racial profiling is a early start for a re-establishment of segregation.

America today is no longer a free-country its a FEAR country. We afraid of black folks wearing hoodies, Arabs wearing Hijabs, full veils and Kufus caps. We afraid of Hispanics being low riders and we afraid of white folks wearing white sheets on the heads. We buy military based guns and missiles. Having security watch from smart phones to our computers even our government. We can we do to combat fear? Just put away guns, surveilance and racism. Then, America will be free country.

    Welcome to the new age.
