Called Milt's and the number was disconnected. I had heard Milt was killed in the store several years ago, and that's why they put the Plexi up. Is it no more? If so, how sad!

I had a friend hyping up the joint a few years back and then I looked it up online and saw the owner got killed in his store... I'm like nope, not going there.
It was sold to somebody who opened up a soul food place there within the past year. No word on if the new place is any good. Will miss Milt's great BBQ.
It was a horrific crime, he was closing up his place and was murdered by robber. I'd met him a few times and he attended a friends church. I often wondered how the family went on to stay. I never went back.
His food was excellent. His murder was the last straw. I cannot explain how disgusted I am with the completely self centered, selfish, despicable criminals who are in charge of the streets.
Sorry, had to rant.
I hear you. I feel/ felt the same.
^^^^ Yeah, I hear both of you, fuck the thugs!!
Sad news. The murder of Milt Goodson - an extremely warm man who was really trying to do some good in this city - by a teenage accomplice of one of his own employees was one of the most tragic local events I can remember. It almost made me feel like giving up, and, sadly, it definitely made it hard for me ever to go back into his restaurant again.
Milt's food was good, but the people were even better. Same could be said of My Sisters that was located on East Warren.
Thanks for the news. Sorry it's so sad.
