    Default Chinook flying around town....

I keep seeing a Chinook flying around....

Spotted it a couple times downriver and SW.

I assume it's being used for training or something along those lines....

    Anyone have any insights?

I used to work due west of Selfridge and I would see them 2-3 times a week.

Living where I do, I see Canadian military aircraft from time to time. Haven't seen the salmon yet, though.

The Chinook/Chinooks fly over my home once or twice a week. Very impressive.

Yes, I think they use Hall Rd. as a landmark. They always seem to fly the same route. I've never seen them fly fast though. Very impressive machines.

That's a Sikorski S-55 Series Helo.Used in 'Nam and to pluck the Mercury and Gemini caupsles out of the sea. Those Chinooks come over the car lot in Pontiac at least once a week, flying towards the northwest.

I had seen one fly over downtown last month. I had wondered was it part of a movie that was being filmed.
