It is becoming increasingly apparent that Paramount's huge Transformers 4 set in downtown Detroit is being constructed as a disaster / ruin setting.

That's right, they're building ruins in Detroit.

Set designers working on a large broken wall.


I am guessing that a giant gouge is emerging amid this steel frame structure.


Another structure with torn holes is built on an incline. Beside it is a shattered brick building fragment.

Definitely something odd about that block! Took a walk over there during lunch today. Has to be seen to believed. Not exactly too friendly to walk around though.
