Default Body found wrapped in plastic Detroit home....

Pretty grim. Click on the article link to see the row of three family flats; abandoned, windows out on Atkinson just outside of Boston Edison area. These huge homes once occupied families. Now they're just body dump sites. We need these buildings torn down!

    From article:

Man's body found wrapped in plastic inside Detroit home

Investigators removed the body of a man from an abandoned home on Atkinson Thursday night.

    By FOX 2 News Staff

DETROIT [[WJBK) -- Police say the body of a man wrapped in plastic was found in the basement of a home on Detroit's west side.

Tips led police to the abandoned home on the 3400 block of Atkinson Thursday afternoon where they made the discovery shortly after 4 p.m.
Autopsy results Friday show the African American male victim died from a gunshot wound to the upper back, according to sources.

His identity has not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to Detroit police.

This is nowhere near Boston/Edison. It's close to Dexter, and B/E ends at Linwood.

That fact doesn't make it any less tragic, but don't lump the Atkinson from Woodward to the Lodge and even west to Linwood with that part of Atkinson near Dexter. Those blocks don't even connect through...Sacred Heart Seminary divides them.

My bad. I tend to forget Atkinson runs some length. I tend to know more about the end by the Lodge Fwy./ Boston Edison. Atkinson behind Clairmont and the Lodge is pretty bad, gone worse. but they don't as many two-family flats like that.

Very interesting, p69rrh51. Do you have pieces like this on other neighborhoods?
