Default In Hindsight, Robocop Predicted Detroit's Future [[Almost) to a Tee

I had no idea that Robocop took place in Detroit, but now that I've reviewed its plot, it pretty much forecasted Detroit's future perfectly.

Detroit Future City = Delta City, the "abandoned" areas = Old Detroit.

The financial turmoil, the rampant crime rate, the imminent privatization of all city service.

The only thing missing is the Robocop.

Delta City = Greater Downtown future utopian city center

Old Detroit = East Side and and other areas slated for "downsizing" or elimination under Detroit Works Project

Omni Consumer Products = the rich that will benefit from Detroit's restructuring via privatization and development opportunities resulting from the EM.

Or it could be even more realistic if rumor becomes reality about the State Fairgrounds or City Airport turning into robotics and drone R&D facilities.

As I grow older, and I hope a little wiser about some things; I find that maxim to be one of the only verifiable truths, Honky Tonk.

I've always thought this! I'm sure Kwame would've turned to the biggest dealers in town for a bailout too!
