    To be added to the last paragraph of my post #22 of things that are more important than sequestered items being eliminated:

    Yesterday there were a couple of reports that the federal government just purchased 2,750 really awesome 18 ton armored vehicles by Navistar for domestic use. I'm not sure what for; maybe to bring this Country together.

    Today, a new five million dollar spending program was announced to retrain coal workers put out of work by federal energy policies.

    Ummmmmm.....upgrading the military that Bush and Rumsfeld so desperately DIDN'T want to do maybe?

    As a fed, I could add some insight to the spending cuts as well as other defense-related cuts, but I better sit this one out. Let me just say that there needs to be a massive overhaul in federal acquisition policy. The last major shakeup was led by Al Gore during the mid 90s.
