Great documentary, saw the premiere here in Detroit and saw it again at the AMC. It's definitely worth seeing.

Wife and I went to see it in December at AMC. Well worth seeing. When you see it watch for the 2 firefighters from another country. Easy to spot due to totally different turnout gear and white helmets. Like Smirnoff says a sad documentary.

Why aren't there more showings in the Metro-Detroit area? It is about Detroit, no? Cass City Cinema, ya' listening?

I believe the recent turnout in Detroit "funded" the openings in other cities.....

I read about the "opening nights" @ Fillmore Detroit, but couldn't make either. It would be nice if one of the local venues, [[Cass City Cinema or The DFT), could show it once a week, or a couple of times a month. A lot of Metro-D people are interested in seeing it. The trailers I saw were riveting.

yeah there was the debut at the State Theater, plus a long run of showings in Livonia and Sterling Hts, i assume for the best geographical coverage. keep in mind the movie is not released yet, so it cant just be run anywhere anytime; these are screenings designed to help fund the actual release of the movie. but again, you can go to the website and request a screening in your area. the more requests for a particular venue they receive, the more likely they are to schedule a screening there. but there is a LOT of demand for it nationally outside of Detroit, so they are on tour with it. but im sure there will be more Detroit screenings.

notice that there is a Windsor screening coming up soon.

I'll be waiting for the DVD Amazon Netflix Hulustream as anyone living in Detroit or interested would. I saw it and appreciated it. Whether or not this is a good representation of all of the fires over long periods of time, I can only speculate.
