Garage bands were actual up & coming bands that played inside their parents new backyard garage back in the 60's [[remember the garage building boom in the 1960's).....all of the neighborhood kids watched, some band parents provided refreshments and/or 45's to purchase. The "new" K-mart in Garden City hosted several "battle of the [[garage) bands" in their parking lot. Ate pizza at the 1st Little Caesars in the same parking lot during various breaks as new bands were preparing to setup their equipment to play.....Love Potion #9, Gloria, Louie-Louie, Wipeout, were the popular hits.....
