The State of New York has successfully arrested veterans and other peaceful citizens in possession of firearms, now illegal, since the passage of the State's gun control legislation. Now that more peaceful citizens have been semi disarmed, thugs are having a field day. Within just 48 hours this weekend, 25 people were shot in New York City and three of them died. This mayhem is what opponents of New York's gun control law warned would happen when deterrence was reduced.

New York City's gun control laws are among the strictest in the country, and are STILL more strict than the state laws. Blaming the state's new, stricter gun laws for an outburst of violence is just patently idiotic.

Two things were proven last weekend in NY City. NY City's strict gun laws don't work and the NY City Police department was unable to provide protection. Were the people who predicted this or the people who were unable to predict this the idiots?

New York's strict new gun control laws are successfully criminalizing non-violent individuals however such an an ex-Marine, a guy with two extra bullets in his clip, and a pregnant traveller from N. Dakota.
