The boat is also the first production fiberglass sailboat. Designed by Dearborn resident Dick Hill approx. 27 hulls were built over a 20 year ish period. The molds are still here in Detroit, they are located at 95 St. Jean.

Have had the pleasure to sail out of the Crescent Sail Club many a time. As our good friend once said, though,"Sometime the destination is the boat."

All the best to the club in the future.

Crescent Sail Yacht Club and the Crescent Class Sloop are to different entities. CSYC dates back to 1937 and yes its a great location. The boat itself has no relation to the club except sharing the same name.
