What's going on in West Village?

A couple of pop-up joints opened up Agnes St in West Village, but now that the experiment is coming to end - with Coffee and [[___) closing today, Tashmoo Biergarten on hiatus [[?), and etc. - I wonder... what's in store for the future? It seems like the area would be a good spot for a "central business district". Between the different Villages and some of the developments along the river in that area, it has the bones to become the center of its own little community.

Although I'm not overly knowledgeable about West Village, from what I did pick up, it would appear the pop-ups were fairly successful. Any plans in the works for something more long-term? Or are people still unsure of how viable that would be?
