    Default F#@& Mitt Romney.

He has proven himself to be elitist, classless, out of touch and finally after all the dancing around it, racist.

You will go to your grave NEVER getting to fucking be president. No matter how much money you spend or how entitled you think you are to it.

And I smile that my young black ass helped make it happen.

In a conference call with fund-raisers and donors to his campaign, Mr. Romney said Wednesday afternoon that the president had followed the “old playbook” of using targeted initiatives to woo specific interest groups — “especially the African-American community, the Hispanic community and young people.”

Elitist, classless and out of touch - no surprise there. Not sure if racist is the word that describes those comments though. Pandering to specific groups is standard politics and the President did it better than he did. He even said "young people" which would include all races. I feel dirty defending Romney [[or Obama, since they both disgust me), but I don't know if that comment is racist. Unless I missed something..?

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...n-urban-areas/ Apparently Mittens and his boy just didn't see us coming.
“The surprise was some of the turnout, some of the turnout especially in urban areas, which gave President Obama the big margin to win this race,” “I don’t think we lost it on those budget issues, especially on Medicare — we clearly didn’t lose it on those issues,” he said.
Contrary to popular media and stereotypes, and some posters on this forum, black people are perfectly capable of thinking and making rational decisions. We also vote for the candidate we believe serves our self-interest and that of the greater good. It also helps to not be quite so openly contemptuous. Jesus the idea that this fucking CYBORG actually had a shot at the big chair sends chills down my spine.

Yes, you did. People of all colors and backgrounds want to keep the social safety net. Mitt- still trapped in the right wing bubble.

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

“There is no underestimating the intelligence of the American public.”

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed [[and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

The old white men Mitt pandered to are just as much a special interest group as any other. They just want to see themselves as the mainstream American. There is no such thing anymore

It is so odd that the Romney side sees the safety net as handouts to the undeserving, while all the handouts to their big business cronies are just fine, and supposedly deserved because, of course, they are the "job creators."

One of Romney's big problems was that he never could explain the steady American job losses after those cozy Bush tax cuts. It just proves they do not use that money to create jobs here, but to create jobs in other countries or stash it away in tax free accounts in foreign banks to avoid using it to support American infrastructure. Seeing the safety net and public institutions as "takers" ignores how much they have benefitted from such assistance themselves. As Obama said, "You didn't build that [alone]."

I'm sorry that Mitt Romney didn't win for President of United States. But he needs to quit whining and continue being governor fo Massachutsetts. Put presidential politics away for forget it. Tbe American People choose Obama and he will lead our free world to a safe and recovered proletarian society.

If the Good Ole' Party wants more African Americans, Hispanics, single women and young professionals support, they would have to give in to their mantra. Creating jobs, stop bailing out Wall Street, leave Obamacare alone, support immigration reform, support gov't subsidies for financial aid for studens paying for college, leave Social Security, welfare and food stamps out of it is the best way to keep our nation afloat. Then you will have your Republican President of United States.

    Spot on gazhekwe!

The myth of "job creators" has been a focal point of my enlightenment period of U.S. politics over the last 4 years. And the idea that unfettered, raw capitalism will solve all of our problems could not be further from the truth.

Unfettered, unregulated raw capitalism is what razed Flint, MI to the ground. It is what sends jobs overseas and what makes the price of oil so volatile. It's why Wall Street is a fucking casino and cities like Detroit are its' sewer system.

Lastly, you also touch a nerve with the overseas loot stashing. How much better would we be if that money was flowing through our economy? Creating jobs and growing businesses? Providing a respectful wage to a group of people. This idea of a business owner "providing when possible" has been removed from society. Now it's "I can't afford to hire more workers" or "the cost to bring another worker on is astronomical". But "I certainly have a nice little nest egg" in the Caymans is A.O.K. I guess. WTF.....

Whether Romney could have pulled off something like Reagan, I don't know. I wasn't sold on Romney/Ryan numbers either. Another thing; these two sets of statistics compare 7 years of Reagan with 3.75 years of Obama so President Obama, most evidence to the contrary, still has time to turn the economic conditions of the black community around.
Two sets statistic regarding your choice:

"In late 1982, Reagan's second year in office, the unemployment rate for blacks was 20.4 percent. By 1989, his last year, the black unemployment rate had fallen to 11.4 percent -- a 9 percent drop. In late 1982, the unemployment rate for Hispanics was 15.3 percent. By 1989, it had fallen to 8 percent -- a drop of over 7 percentage points. White unemployment, by contrast, fell "only" 4 percentage points."

In 1965, "25 percent of black kids were born out of wedlock. Today, that number is 70 percent. Now 26 percent of white kids are born to unwed mothers. This is an indictment of the welfare state and a direct link to crime, drop-out rates and poverty."
    http://townhall.com/columnists/larry...republican_dad

    Contrast:
Under Obama, African-American unemployment up; wealth, wages, political influence down
"Obama used his speech to call for stronger African-American families, saying, “If we want to stop the cycle of poverty, we must start with our families.”But the percentage of adult African-Americans in poverty rose from 19.8 percent in 2007 to 23 percent in 2010, according to the Census Bureau. The percentage of African-American children in poverty rose from 34.5 percent to 39.1 percent in 2010. African-Americans’ formal unemployment rate jumped from 9 percent in June 2007 to 14.5 percent this August. And the reality is worse: The percentage of African-Americans in the workforce fell from 58.6 percent in June 2007, down to 52.8 percent in August 2012. Less than half of young African-American men have full-time jobs." In October, 2012, black unemployment was up to 14.3% compared with 7.9% for all Americans.

You get what you vote for. President Obama has provided better healthcare, in theory, for America's poor including a high percentage of blacks. Maybe such freebees are enough to offset the higher percentage losses of black jobs, wages, homes, and wealth. I'm mostly white so that isn't for me to decide. But it is interesting to note that 5% of black males voted for McCain in 2008 and 12% of black males voted for Romney in 2012; a 140% increase in percentage. Black women, presumably more dependent on government largess, voted 3% Mccain and 3% Romney.

Obama "pandered" to a much broader audience. Romney pandered to the old guard and was never able to make the case that his policies would benefit anyone outside of the economic elites. Face it, if Obama was white making the economic arguments he has, this election wouldn't have even been close

I was struck by Romney's claim that his "plan" would result in a balanced budget in....Eight to Ten YEARS? What? That seems ample reason to give Obama another four years to complete his work.

Mitt Romney claimed during Monday's debate that repealing health care reform would reduce the federal budget deficit. But that's not exactly true.
"Come on our website, you’ll look at how we get to a balanced budget within eight to 10 years. We do it by getting -- by reducing spending in a whole series of programs. By the way, number one -- get rid of is Obamacare," Romney said.
In fact, repealing Obamacare would increase the deficit by $109 billion over the next 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office, since Obamacare saves money for the government.

Yes, it is Huffpo, but Romney really did say that. I heard him.

Umm, for the record I voted for neither Mitt or president Obama. Romney is moving on; some of the questions supposedly OWNED by the repubs will eventually need to be addressed absent the repub 'branding' on some levels!

The winners and looser will engage in their appropriate 'damage control'. For certain the ride is not over, by far!

I think in the future we'll see alot of anger and what not ala "F^%# the _______________ [[insert your party of choice repubs AND dems!)" as we see how policy and power is being dictated upon us on by both sides!

Indeed they were both 'pandering' and promising! President Obama was far better at reaching more segments -- proving specific 'interpreted' gains towards their specific interests. This proved to be very successful and is inclusive of the dem 'economic elite'!

Well. I'm done. I'm not surprised anymore.

This election did an absolute number on Republicans.

They REALLY didn't see this coming?

They're coming off as a punchdrunk fighter, or victim of PTSD.

Webster, who will step down Dec. 1 after four years as Maine GOP chairman

“In some parts of the state, there were dozens of black people who came in to vote,” Webster said. “Nobody in town knew them.”

In a phone interview Wednesday, Webster told the BDN that he plans to send “several thousand” postcards with a photo of the State House to the addresses of voters who registered on Election Day as a way to investigate potential voter fraud.

“They’ll go out in first-class mail,” he said. “I don’t expect people to respond to the question. The concept behind this is to see if they are returned. This is a reasonably inexpensive effort by me to settle the question” of whether people travel to Maine communities to vote fraudulently.

If cards come back as undeliverable, Webster believes it will prove his theory that people travel to Maine to vote
    fraudulently.

The Maine Republican Party paid for the postcards and postage, Webster said.
I could see Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter muttering this stuff to make themselves and their stooge audience feel better. But these are the people actually running for office and setting policies/agendas.

If I didn't find them so repellant I'd almost feel sorry for them.

    Rot in Piss.

Default Mitt Romney make Whine out of Sour Grapes

It appears that the 47% speech to his $50K donors was revealing his real feelings. As I recall he shook the etch-a-sketch to say he didn't mean that.

Does anyone else find it amusing that Mitt, who bragged non-stop about his business prowess, couldn't even manage to organize a campaign to beat a poor community organizer from Chicago with unemployment at 7.8%? He had all the cards and piles of money handed to him and still blew it. He makes a total incompetent like George W Bush look like a genius.

So tell us how you really feel Mitt while I get out the world's tiniest violin to play along with your sob story.

I'm not sure which way to take that. Are you saying that minorities would have been less enthused about voting for him in such large numbers, and so he would have lost to Romney? Unemployment in the black community is up big time since Obama took office, so if he was white you're saying he wouldn't have had the same support since his policies have failed?

I don't know, but I do know Romney was a horrible candidate to begin with. Why would you run a Wall Street guy in an election right after the Bush and Obama bailouts? As bad as Obama has been, I don't think Romney could have beat anyone. They're both Wall Street stooges so the real loser as usual is the people.

Marco Rubio was kept on the bench for 2016. Same with Bobby Jindal, Chris Christie, Condi Rice, etc. Wouldn't be surprised to see it come down to Hillary vs Rubio in 2016 when it's all said and done.
