Default The Downtown D, Lit Up

I was walking through downtown Detroit, yesterday coming from MGM and the Democratic party. I looked up at the skyline and I took notice of the beautiful lights that illuminate the sky.

The Renaissance Center looks great with the band of lights that circle each tower, plus the large emblem that changes logos.

The Penobscot building now has eyecatching spot lights glowing from its roof. The Comerica building has lights as does the First National Building.
The Fox Theater has that huge FOX logo changing colors. Name: fox.jpg

Across from Grand Circus Park the Kales Building and The Grand Circus Center both have spot lights. The Blue Cross, Blue Shield Building usually will spell out something in lights in their windows.

You got the spot lights from Canada at the Casino coming across the river onto the Detroit skyline. Plus the Ambassador Bridge is well lit up. Name: ambassador bridge.jpg

Then add the lighting on the streets like the old fashion lights on Washington Blvd. or the lights on the island at Madison Avenue or the lights cutting down the middle of the street in Greektown,

plus the lights running down Woodward to about Grand Circus all at add up.

And, finally soon we'll have the lights of Christmas from the tall Christmas tree in the center of Campus Martius Park.

The Great Detroit is lit up and for a second its doesn't look so bad.

I suppose that with all the streetlights out in many of the city's neighborhoods that comparatively speaking downtown will sparkle quite brilliantly...

Really dude... you need to take off those rose colored glasses... and put down the bong...

Is this newly installed lighting or is this a recap of lighting that has been there a while?

All that I'm saying is that Detroit looks nice with the lights. Some lights are up year round and some are new.
And, after smoking some good weed, the night lights look even better.
I got the pictures off google.com so maybe they have been posted before.

You can get a good view of the lighting while looking down Woodward from about Grand Blvd.
