Default Where can you buy made in America Silver/ Dinner / Cookware in this town?

I'm looking to make a change in residence soon. I'm stocking up on things I need.

Furniture wise I'm gonna have to compromise on.

But I am determined to make sure my kitchen stuff is made in America or even [[God-forbid) Detroit.

    So far I found
-glass cups made in Ohio from Meijer3
    - Rubbermaid bowls said to be American made from Costco
    - Baking sheets again from Costco

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe Penney's, Kohl's and Macy's have Homer Laughlin Fiestaware.

Here is a Made in America site. If you see something you like, click the link and see if they sell locally:

Keep track of the auctions at DuMouchelles. They always have some silver flatware up. Most of the silver they auction off is made in the USA and there are good deals to be had. Do you your homework and find a company and pattern you like. Also the end of the auctions on Sat and Sun are usually populated by items that they had to take in to get the good items, you never know what might pop up.
They also get great USA made pressed glass, china and other similar items.

You should check out Oneida. The company and city have an interesting history. What started as a utopian community similar to many other others in the mid 1800s. It is a rather involved story and well worth becoming familiar with.

the utopian movement saw a rapid spread across the nation. One such group moved out to Salt Lake City. The Onedia folks have nothing to do with those folks, but it is interesting in that it has survived till today with its central communal philosophies intact.

I've got a Calphalon pan with Toledo, OH stamped on the bottom. Doing a quick web search, they were acquired by Newell in 1998 and Newell acquired Rubbermaid in 1999. Seems like all the offices are in Georgia now, but a Yelp entry in 2010 says the corp office is in Toledo. I've always been happy with Calphalon. Seems like it would last several lifetimes.

Check out this website http://replacements.com/ I have purchased china, glassware, and silverware from them. They are very knowledgeable about the origins and manufacturers of the merchandise that they sell. I have bought and sold several items from them as well as replaced broken items.
