Smoke Covering the Horizon 10/01/2012

I drove Django out to Allen Park yesterday at the end of rush hour, but didn't have the strength to walk through Meijer with him...so I sat in the car.

Noticed some smoke to the northwest...somewhere around Evergreen and Joy, I'd guess.

Then another pillar popped up to the near northeast...maybe Warrendale.

And soon, yet another further east. Maybe west of Corktown, a bit north.

It was eerie, seeing nearly the entire horizon darkended with these three fires simultaneously. The courageous fire-folk in the city were busy.

Fires happen all the time, but it was odd to see them from this vantage point...with such a wide-open field of view. Made me sick to see it all.
