Great, just what Michigan needs, some out of state cons trying to influence our judicial system with more activist judges.

    Too funny.

Just the other night one of their campaign ads came on the telly, and I said to my honey, "Those two cannot be trusted. Wonder who they are?!"

And now this...I guess my gut instinct is still calibrated.

No more Bull Shitte's...we've too much of that already.

We had a case here in Florida the last couple of election cycles.

It had been considered "bad form" for lawyers to mount a challenge to sitting judges.

Then with the downswing in real estate, a lot of lawyers found their practices were not quite as lucrative as they had been in the past.

Gov Jeb Bush and his Democrat predecessor had made a major effort to appoint minorities [[particularly Hispanics) to the bench in increasingly Hispanic southeast Florida.

Because of the ballot structure in Florida, you have a lengthy partisan ballot followed by numerous ballot initiatives [[all printed in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole) to wade through before you get to the non-partisan judicial elections. Many voters just vote the first page and skip the initiatives and judicial elections so even in a high turnout year llike 2008.

Every one of the Hispanic judges had a challenger with a Jewish sounding name and every one was defeated in those election cycles seriously reducing the Hispanic judges to insignificance.

In order to get around voters, the left -- and now the right -- are using the courts. That politicization of the courts has not been good.
