Default Tony Goldman dies at 66

I had just found out that Tony Goldman, the redeveloper of Soho in Manhattan and South Beach in Miami had passed away on the 12th of this month. He was about to make a great impact in Detroit by revitalizing blighted areas in the city one building one block at a time. I hope his vision for Detroit will still move forward. He believe that the common everyday person especially those in the art community could bring Detroit's neighborhoods back. Detroit need more visionaries such as Tony Goldman. We need more planners with grassroots ideas.

Yeah, I was saddened to hear about that. If he truly had the intent to buy into Detroit it's hard to overstate how huge that could have been.
