Anybody have access to R.L. Polk or Detroit telephone directories for that time?

You should be able to find them in the Burton Collection Database....I don't know where you live but if you live in Detroit the Burton Library [[located in the main library on Woodward first floor) has city cross index directories dating back to 1836. Good Luck

I do but I'm away from the office until Tuesday. Remind me again if you don't get an answer by then.

    MidTownMs,
Thank you for your suggestion. I knew of the Burton Collection but due to my work schedule it's almost impossible to get there. Average work day is ten hours and each weekend since Labor Day I have been on assignment out of town.

    MikeM,
Private message sent. Thank you for your offer.

You're welcome MikeM...as I mentioned in my previous post you should be able to find what you are looking for online.
