Default Will evangelical christians vote for a mormon?

The following is not a biased statements against Mormons.

Many Evangelical Christians are fervent in their belief that Mormons are a cult. They believe that Mormonism is a false religion.

The wording of the Mormon Bible deviates greatly from the Holy Bible used by Christians today. http://contenderministries.org/mormonism/comparison.php

For example, the Mormons up until 1978 did not allow blacks into their temple unless they were servant to a white man. In 1978 their doctrine did not change due to a "change of heart", but due to the fact that President Jimmy Carter was going to remove their tax-exempt status for their bigoted stance.http://youtu.be/scJMzMO3YUE

So, with many of the falsehood of the Mormon Bible, can Evangelical Christians vote for Mitt Romney when he is a Mormon Bishop.

    Why vote against your beliefs?

I believe that Americans that you should vote for your convictions and not on popularity.

I believe that the best choice for the Conservatism in America is Virgil Goode of the Constitution Party.

The Constitution Party has a true Conservative Platform that Evangelical Conservatives can believe in.

I'm confused. You open your post with saying "The following is not a biased statements against Mormons", and then further down in the post you say:

"So, with many of the falsehood of the Mormon Bible, can Evangelical Christians vote for Mitt Romney when he is a Mormon Bishop"

Where exactly is the lack of bias?

the Book of Mormon has no more falsehoods than the Bible, the Koran, etc. etc. The Truth can only be found in the Elder Edda!

Evangelical Christians can and will vote for anyone who credibly promises to wield the power of the state to oppress women and gay people.

As for Virgil Goode, he was polled at nine percent support in Virginia, where he was a six-term congressman, with negligible numbers elsewhere in the country. Virginia is a key swing state that might well determine the outcome of the election, and Obama currently has about a three-point lead there. So please do support Virgil Goode, especially if you're in Virginia!

I would vote anyone who is religious or not as along as stay with their principles, maintianing the believe in the concept of freedom and democracy in the United States. This person would keep the world and public peace and fight along with the American People for freedom and democracy. They must not give in to fear and intollerance. This person must side with majority rule while helping the weaker few and stay within the balance of power between state, local and federal governments.

Like Pres. Obama said, "I'm a president for everyone!"

Nearly all the evangelicals I know, are not voting for Romney.

A couple may. Just as some evangelicals are shape shifting, adapting and otherwise compromising in an effort to follow president Obama around the bends and corners he's going..........

Many Evangelical Christians also believe the 2000-year-old Catholic faith is a false religion. Those kinds of folks like people who tell them what they already think. And by golly, Mitt Romney is willing to tell them any damned thing they want to hear.

Yep. What that has anything to do with Christianity I can't figure out. Jesus was a friend to women [[to all people, except for the money changers, really) and had nothing to say about gay people. I'm sure he encountered them and treated them as serenely as he treated everyone he met.

Frankly, American evangelicalism bears little resemblance to what is found in the New Testament and barely even resembles what Christianity historically has looked like. It is just one big right-wing political movement with religious overtones, essentially.

    Welcome to Manifest Destiny.

Just a little history of how Christians determined it was for them to identify all desirable criteria in people, and begin to either convert or conquer any people who refuse to become desirable, the Papal Bull of 1452. Now, I wonder why they call it a Bull?

In 1452, Pope Nicholas V issued to King Alfonso V of Portugal the bull Romanus Pontifex, declaring war against all non-Christians throughout the world, and specifically sanctioning and promoting the conquest, colonization, and exploitation of non-Christian nations and their territories.

I wish all candidates would keep their religious affiliations and beliefs private and to themselves, otherwise I just see them as whakjobs who believe in fairy tales.

Maybe it is every election, maybe it is because I now have experienced several election cycles, but this one is shaping up to being a real nose-holder.

Both extremes have dung in their heels, and thrown increasingly stupid mud at their doppelgängers, both extremes are extreme; and it is that tender middle, that softish core, that group of electors who will turn one way or the other while collectively holding their noses.

The Hope and Change thing kind of turned into Ho and Hum with a vacating sigh and a shrug; and the RR batman and robin team promises magic from their secret bat belts but don't you dare look inside.

So hold your noses, or scuttle to your comfortable corners, either way we are in for a rough ride.

I mentioned in another thread about the lack of yard signs for the candidates. What it tells me other than the fact people have already made up there minds is that the interest and/or excitement isn't there this time around.
