NEZ Abatement Filing Reminder - October 1

Just a reminder that if you've homesteaded in the city, and you live in an NEZ, to get your paperwork filed for your discount by October 1, if you haven't done so already.

Thank you. I assume you are referring to the NEZ Homstead Abatement? I believe the deadline is October 31, yes?

Too bad the abatement is only one-half the number of mills levied for the county and local government unit operating purposes. It doesn't equate to all that much of a savings. It's better than nothing but the taxes are still too high. If only we could get the millage rate down some.
