Default Officer's Vehicle Stolen From Manoogian

If we hired the most fantastic fiction writers to make up the most outrageous ways Detroit could be further ridiculed in front of the world...how soon would it take for them to imagine this?!

It took me a good solid ten minutes to stop laugh/crying enough to type this out...

Well that is truly pathetic. I think I will be creeped out to even take my dog outside in Circus Park at night.

Yeah, this is when he learns IF he ranks among those who actually receive services from the very organization he works for.

Best I can tell, if you are a Winan or with the SS, you can get your vehicle back the next day. Intact. They may even tag the perps and go all through the paperwork and effort!

But if he's with the rest of the unwashed masses...he can kiss all memory of that SUV goodbye.

Perhaps after finding himself in a reduced cash flow position, he arranged for it to be repurposed through an acquisition specialist.

There's an abandoned Lexis on our street, called in to DPD by
several neighbors ---nothing---still here. Another neighbor had his car hijacked from a local gas station, had onstar, they can't tell him where it is???WTF is the use of paying for onstar service. It's a game, steal a car from under someone's nose, park it in a visible place, and wait and see and wait and wait and wait

Or maybe a message for the Mayor?

That would have never happened under Coleman Young's reign!

To be fair, Detroit was a structurally different city under Young.

We still had the Clydesdale horses, the helicopter and the crime lab.

why even have a police force in Detroit? There seems to be no purpose.

In all seriousness it seems that the only thing DPD does is poorly document a portion of crimes that have already happened. That has been my experience.

Fair? Even though I do not care for him and how he was ripping off the city coffers, the one thing he managed to do that the recent mayors have not done is not run the city into the ground. And yes Detroit's pop. was larger, but then what he was taking was far beyond anything Kwame attempted. Plus you DID not mess with anything around the Manoogian Mansion, in fact Berry had the lowest crimes per 1,000 residents of any area in metro Detroit.

This part is a joke. The thugs know this......somebody please send in the Mounties. It's time....it's past time.

It took the police nearly four hours to come to her house after someone stuck a gun to her face and ripped a necklace off her throat, and that's only after her son, the cop, called in a favor.
