Thought that might get your attention.
Apparently, Hollywood is suffering.
Their revenues are down...and they don't know how to fix it.
I'm sorry, but I cannot contain my glee. I won't mind if all the Hollywood attorneys end up on soup kitchen lines. Serves them right, if only for the HDCP portion of the HDMI connection!
Yeah, I know that is obscure...but I've not ever been a fan of how that town does business. Living there for almost two years, being invited to some killer parties in the Hills, and meeting many deep within the 'machine' showed me clearly that theirs is a distorted universe.
Friend of mine in the industry, Charlie Hansen of Ayre Acoustics...arguably the finest amplifier designer in the world...had it figured out during lunch on Ventura Boulevard one time, inbetween the appetizer and main course. "They make television here, but they believe it."
This drop in revenue is even more serious when the price correction of ticket inflation is considered. There are fewer people going, but they are willing to pay a higher price...and even usury rates for the 3d bastardizations [[there are very few 3d movies which I deem worthwhile, most are processed 2d cash-grabs)! So when they get finicky, watch Hollywood's numbers get volatile.
Sincerely,
John
