On Facebook, there's a page of all the suggestions for the marquee on the Magic Bag. Oh, man, it is HILARIOUS!

Living near downtown RO and having a close relative hospitalized at Beaumont with a very serious issue has certainly upped my dislike of the Cruise. I can't wait for Sunday when one can actually get places on the Woodward corridor.

For the record, and by way of explanation, the Magic Bag engages in these shenanigans because they run a business on Woodward Avenue. A business that, thanks to the Dream Cruise, is not profitable one week a year. That is to say, is impossible to run one week a year. That's where they're coming from. So it's the sneers and jeers are based in dollars and cents, if that helps soothe the sting of it all.

It started as a small one day event, now it lasts for more then a week. Must be a lot of red neck, inbred, cousin luvin, gear heads out there!

I threw Gear heads in there as a catch all for all of us that love classic cars.
By the way we have been cruising all week and have been parked at The Avenue between 13 and 14 for the last 3 nights. We for sure have crossed paths. Will be leaving for another night of cruising soon. See you there.

I think she got fed up with wasting time on all the political flying monkeys around here. Our loss.

Anyone know of any webcams set up for the cruise?

The Oakland Press has one going on Saturday on the road from 10 a.m. to noon and then 1 to 3 p.m., finishing with another hour at Lot 9, talking to cruisers and cruise fans.

Thanks. Then I guess I am a Gear head!!

After cruising and walking Woodward all week, today I spent my time in Birmingham, Ferndale, and Berkley. Love the Sirens & Lights Parade!! Checked out some of the 60 years of Corvettes in Birmingham. Saw some awesome 30s classics...love the design of that decade!!!

Looking forward to Saturday, starting with our spin around the entire loop, south to the State Fair Grounds, north all the way to Wide Track Drive, south back home to 13 Mile. Then we hit the pavement walking north between 13 and Lincoln and back down.

From our house a block and a half off Woodward just south of 13 Mile, I can hear the roar on Woodward! Wish I was out there right now!!

Laughing and laughing at your jealousy! Doing this all while I cruise in my 1968 Pontiac GTO Convertible and have LOTS of pretty girls ask for a ride in the car. Its one week out of the year to enjoy an activity that made us famous. If you cannot deal with that its time to move to some place that actually cares about your hybrid!

Wonder what the character limit is on the Magic Bag marquee...

I will know soon enough which "slogan" was chosen for this year...hitting the road soon.

I love the Magic Bag, its a great venue. But I'll disagree with them on the cruise. With a little marketing savvy they should be able to find a way to take advantage of all those people. Don't curse the darkness dudes, light a candle.
