    I've met several musicians who have played there, and in its heyday Madison Square Garden may have been more prestigious, but there was no where these artists would rather play than Cobo. And there was never an arena-sized venue that sounded better

    To say it was the best sound for an Arena size venue may be a true statement, but it was still a horrible place to see a concert.

    It may not have had the acoustics of Grand Circus/the opera house, but it beat the tar out of other similar-sized venues - none of that arena echo - and I never had a bad seat, except once when I was behind the front edge of the stage, which was extended beyond the usual

    I always thought is was a great venue, mainly because it already had a stage.
