Ok Friends,

This Friday there is an event you will love:

SingleBarrelDetroit.com: A homage to Detroit's Music, Architecture and Arts

Official Launch Party and Sneak Preview
Friday June 26, 7PM, FREE
at the Park Bar.

SingleBarrelDetroit.com and Pontiac's Crofoot Ballroom have joined forces to celebrate the launch of a new website dedicated to Metro Detroit's flourishing music, art and film communities.

The site, Singlebarreldetroit.com, is part urban explorer and part filmmaker. Films on the website capture live music performances in unique and inspiring locations around Metro Detroit. For example, Aran Ruth in the Detroit Opera House; Charlene Kaye in the abandoned Lee Plaza Hotel; Rodriguez in front of the Diego Rivera frescoes at the DIA; and Daniel Zott in front of Carl Oxley's murals in Woodbridge.

The goal is to bring international attention to the city of Detroit and her musicians. Every shoot brings together photographers, directors, graphic designers, audio engineers, writers, and musicians to create a lasting impression of our city in a medium [[website) that allows each craft to show its skill.

Songs recorded live at the shoots will be available for free download on the site. Also featured will be photos and journalistic pieces that invite the viewer to interact with the band and the locations in different ways.

The launch party will take place at the Park Bar, a cornerstone of Detroit's ever growing art community. The event is free. It will feature musical performances by Alan Scheurman and Daniel Zott, along with a sneak preview of the film work soon to be available on SingleBarrelDetroit.com.

Come on down and support fellow Detroit nerds.
