Default Bridge Company Press Conference Tomorrow, please attend

    Dear friends,

Please spread the word. We need as many residents as possible to attend this Bridge Company Press Conference tomorrow [[see below) in Detroit to tell the true story behind the illegal changes to the Gateway Project.

This is NOT the Gateway Project that was presented to the community 10 years ago. Gateway Project as we see it on the ground violates the National Environmental Policy Act [[NEPA) and endangers our health due to the following:

    1) Taking of 23rd street
    2) two massive filling stations
    3) no risen truck ramp
    4) no buffer wall
    5) attempt to use a driving lane off of fort street, part of W Grand Blvd, and the service drive
    6) the enormous Duty Free Station

What ever happen to taking BRIDGE TRAFFIC off of our local neighborhood? We did not scarifice our business revenue, road conditions, and public safety so that the Bridge Company can act above the law and not comply with some of the most basic environmental protections so that they can save a buck. PLEASE ATTEND IF YOU CAN! No matter how much money the company has, we always have the truth and the law on our side, but it takes an ARMY to remind people! Rashida

Kratofil said MDOT is storing the dirt there to “protect the public’s property rights” because the newly paved lane should not be used until the bridge company corrects the changes it made to plans for the bridge plaza so they conform with designs approved by the U.S. government.
Looks like Matty is getting a taste of his own medicine.
