San Bernardino County taxpayers have spent an estimated $54.5 million to jail illegal aliens since 2004. The federal government has offset that amount with $6.7 million. The OP article says that San Bernadino is facing a $45.7 million shortfall. If anyone wants to ask me, I've come up with a long range solution to the San Bernardino budget crunch; maybe even a short range solution if the federal government is responsible for enforcing immigration laws as ruled by the Supreme Court.
