There are already areas filled with cracked out zombie nar-do-wells that I avoid. How is this going to make any money when you can already get it for free?

So you go in with toy guns, air guns, paintball guns, laser-tag guns or whatever and somebody starts shooting back with a real gun. Sounds fun.

Is this guy 12 years old?

Does it need to be pointed out how ridiculously stupid and unfeasible this idea is? This guy from Clawson really thought this through, very impressive- $145k would not even cover the "perimeter fence", not to mention... well, every single other element of this idea. I really hope this guy is just some kid, otherwise this is just too embarrassing.

I would love it if this turned into a full on Resort with a complete with a rundown zombie hotel, and the patrons would have to fight there way to the other local attractions.

An alternative choice that will appeal to participants interested in playing "Z World Detroit" -
Involuntary commitment or civil commitment. A legal process through which an individual with symptoms of severe mental illness can be court-ordered into treatment in a hospital [[inpatient) or in the community [[outpatient).

I saw a crackhead the other morning that truly reminded me of a zombie. 7:30am on a Saturday. He looked dead. Just standing there on the side of the road moving really slowly...

George Romero would never invest in a zombie enterprise that didn't involve Pittsburgh...

How are they going to tell the difference between zombie employees and jokester zombie impersonators or even <gasp> real zombies?!

I guess they'll have to issue official zombie badges.

Now there's a collectors' item for ya. I want one!

x2 First thing that comes to mind is this scenario. Zombie team chases human team members into a dilapidated vacant building to get their patches. Human team member trying to outrun zombie member trips and falls down a flight of stairs or falls through a weak floor and breaks his legs and is paralyzed. Paralyzed member sues the park. Park has to file for bankruptcy to pay for lawsuit. It's a lawsuit waiting to bankrupt any investor. I can't see why any insurance company would be willing to underwrite such a park. It's such a poorly thought out idea.

"While zombies are great, the really neat thing about this project is..."
    It's all a hoax? I hope...

The zombie geek in me LOVES this, but there is no way this is going to happen. No funding or permission from the city and too much potential for injuries, lawsuits, etc.

These are the best and brightest minds that we want to help bring back Detroit?

norfolkpine and davewindsor pretty much expressed my opinion of the proposal. I'd rather have farms on the vacant land.

Hasn't that already been done? It's called our three CASINOS!

Maybe a few Crack House theme parks around town.
The Zombie thing is a joke, maybe they could wander around our urban farms and act as scarecrows

What happens when he doesn't make his goal of $145,000.00. He has already collected $4,600.00 and has until the Aug 10 to raise funds. Then what? Does he get to keep what he raised? Is that legal? Is this just a slick rouge?

That is at least 'useful' and positive. We need nothing further negative in this town - even for so called fun.
