Default Pathetic Bashara Finally Arrested [and now Found Guilty] [& Now Dead]

UPDATE: Aug. 19, 2020 Bob Bashara Dies in Prison

UPDATE: Dec. 18 - Bob Bashara found Guilty.

    ===============================
Much to the relief of my GPP neighbors, some of whom have begun placing election-like signs on their front yards demanding Justice for Jane Bashara, her slug of a husband is finally behind bars.

For attempting to hire a better hit man to kill the dumb one he hired to kill his wife!

We don't care, as long as Big Bobb is off the streets, and no longer able to prowl the night-time S&M scene. [[funny that most Parkers don't seem upset over the clandestine sex dungeon in their backyard...)

There was a reported sighting of him at some festival in GP a month ago, where he was helping in some faux-casino capacity...maybe as blackjack dealer. He was oogling the young women, and was over-heard saying some despicable things about them. Classy guy, he really knows how to mourn.

Bashara is a creep and worse. Everyone seems quite sure he orchestrated his wife's death and staged the scene where her body was found in the city.

But I'm wondering...which photo-juxtaposition is more pathetic...the Freep's or the News'?! I hate that full-face shot the Freep used, don't like being caught in the creep's gaze...but they have the better shot of Gentz. The News makes him look like a mouth-breather. Then again, he cannot seem to shut that trap, Bashara should've known he would talk.

No cheers, other than Big Bobb being off the streets, forced to eat three meals a day from Janet's Lunch. That just might be punishment enough...

And the plot thickens....this guy is the ultimate narcissistic buffoon. Big Boob is in for a different kind of alternative life style now [[tee hee hee) I'm sure his fellow inmates can't wait to join in his "real" dungeon parties now.

Hey G...Janets hashbrowns and eggs over easy are to die for....

LOL...yeah, that was a low blow. I've not even been there, because of the poor reviews from my partner and a few of her friends. I'm happy to hear a positive review to balance them out.

It was an easy barb...but below the belt. Now I've got to try the joint out.

Isn't Gentz in the same jail? I've heard they only have two cells in the GPP facility. You just gotta know they are recording everything said between those two, if that is the case!

I just read that whole News story on the Justice for Jane group...very well done!

    I love the tag line...

    The group's website is justice4jane.forumotion.com.

Bob Bashara, it said, is not a member.

Too funny. The things which go unsaid in this town...kinda makes one wonder what everyone else is hiding!

I've never been in the place after 9:00 am so I can't speak to the post breakfast bill of fare, but their breakfast will cure any level of hangover . About 20 years ago I used to stop in there a few days a week on my way to work and order dry rye and black coffee, the place is a staple for cabbage patchers.

Ooh, that might be the rub then. I've witnessed some terrible bias against those who live in that part of town. It is one thing GPPers seem willing to voice...they seem to fear their property values being negatively affected by the proximity of rentals!

Not my partner, though. She's the one who explained it to me. Her complaint was with the food quality, perhaps it wasn't good enough to dent her hangovers!

    Cheers

I think your right....us patchers [[renters) were never really considered "real" Grosse pointers, not to mention I was/am a proud displaced Detroiter being raised on the lower east side of Detroit. But hey if the likes of Big Boob Bashara can make it anybody can...of course he is officially disowned now.

The Detroit News photo of Gentz makes him look like a mouth breather because he is a mouth breather. Aren't they claiming his IQ is below 80?

I knew all along he was involved with his wife's murder, I was wondering why it took so long to nail him? Must be the preferential treatment he was afforded being from the Pointes. All the evidence pointed towards him. He should have been arrested from day one.

    Thanks, Jackie.

Both of 'em at county...curious. Wonder if Bashara is trying to get Fishbones to deliver...

While I think we all have suspicions about the ethics of Mr. Bashara, I don't know that it is necessary to preface the thread title with "Pathetic." Last time I checked, its innocent until proven guilty, and if he didn't kill his wife then someone else did, so it wouldn't be very nice to call a widower pathetic.

YAY! Folks in Richville Grosse Pointe Park are cheering after that accused murderer is out of their neighborhood.

From what I understand, this guy is well-connected. Did I hear correctly that his father was a judge?! He is involved in various community organizations, and exercises his network connections. MANY people know him personally.

His wife was universally loved by everyone who I've met that knew her. They don't seem to say anything remotely nice about her husband, though.

But I sense the greatest general fear in this 'hood is that his veneer was quite solid, he hid his extreme sliminess well. After that thin disguise broke, it seems everyone is looking at their other seemingly perfect neighbors with a jaundiced gaze!

Plus, there have been at least a few spouses who seem generally concerned that their partners might execute a quickie divorce in a similar manner...no messy property settlements, and a nice insurance payout...if they get away with it.

More the prosecutors wait, the longer it seems that Big Bobb is going to get away with it. Doesn't help that he has that weirdo of an attorney...as much as I hate to admit it, that guy is good. Worth every penny of Bashara's savings he is whittling away...

LOL...you didn't catch my report on his misbehavior LAST MONTH at a community event. He is not mourning. He is no widower. Don't defend this guy.

Everyone knows he is involved in Jane's demise. He just didn't wrap his own hands around her neck. He did what most evil bosses do, he delegated it to a subordinate. The dumb ones always get the dirty work.

    <sigh>

I think Gentz is such a crumb-bum that if it had gone to trial, it would not have been hard for the defense to raise reasonable doubt about his creditability. I think that is why they did not charge Barshira. They probably set this whole hit on Gentz thing up as a sting to show what he really is all about. He does have a good attorney.

Yeah, even the way they tried to discredit him with that original series of questioning, when he reportedly 'changed his story' a few times...didn't sound like the case to me. Sounds like he was paid with cash and the promise of a car...a Caddy, of course...but chickened out at the last minute. Then there were the threats of harm if he didn't finish the job. That scenario fits the reported storyline he admitted to.

When Bashara lamented the loss of his GIRLFRIEND over all of this, and it was reported he was trying to get a mortgage on a house not far from his family home...and shopping for a 'third' to add to the 'relationship'...that sealed the deal for me. Guilty!

Then the report over his salaciousness at that casino fundraiser event...he ain't mourning, he is lusting. Doesn't get any clearer than that.

Gannon...its not Bashara that I'm interested in defending, so much as decorum and civil order. It is better to let a worm be slimy, than to call it one when all can see.

    Yo 1953
Just my humble opinion but I bet ya couldn't hold your perfect decorum and civil order if it was your neighbor or loved one sitting in the morgue... its OK to let it all hang out every now and then when the situation clearly dictates some raw emotions.

    That is too funny.

I'm sure we're disturbing the civil order...I guess I should just turn myself in next time I return the DVDs at the library then.

As far as decorum, sorry...never been very good at that. I've noticed that the things avoided in 'polite' society are all too often the most important topics one can discuss in life.

Plus, at the extreme...it ends up in pomp and circumstance for royalty that doesn't recognize it's new wardrobe is made of air...but they might only enjoy not having any dirty laundry to distract them.

I'll be over there, giggling and laughing at their saggy asses...

Last sentence, VERY debateable. There are those who say Griem is surviving on reputation alone.

I don't know about Grime. Sometimes I can't tell whether he's defending his client or if he's subconsciously trying to get him caught! He makes these statements that almost sound apologetic, like when he says that he expects his client to be charged or arrested. Yesterday they asked him what he thought the prosecution had and he said he imagined that they had video or audio or something to that effect. He's a strange one, I feel like he gives away too much. Although I love it because he's usually defending some slimeball so I enjoy watching his goofiness.

Soooo glad they got that POS Bashara behind bars! He's such a tool, I bet he'll confess to another inmate about how he had Jane killed. And he's a cheap bastard too, huh? He only paid $600 and an old brokedown car to have Jane killed, and now only $2,000 for the hit on Joe!

I feel sorry for his kids though, they are facing some harsh realities right now about the dad they defended.

I have to correct something from earlier in the thread.

The community event he was seen leering and leching at was in the War Memorial over Christmastime. The last month event was encountering him at a bar on Mack, where he was trying to pick up women.

I cannot imagine his hubris and ego...
