Default Greektown casino construction -- finished?

wtf is up with the greektown parking garage? it looks like in the front of the hotel where the parking spots are sticking out, that you could drive your car over the ledge, isnt there supposed to be a wall there? has construction competed on the interior of the hotel / casino yet?

I'd originally thought this was supposed to be glassed in [[or at least covered in some way), myself. It does look very much unfinished; it's not, though. I'd assume given their financial troubles, they may have changed the design at the end.

Considering the rendering, I'd assume they ran out of money and changed the design.

There's cables to prevent cars from going over the edge. I'm not sure I like the new metal mesh cladding though.

The funny thing about the Greektown casino commercial is that they calling themselves dissing "Ceasers Windsor" about the passport thing but Greektown Casino itself did a "HALF-JOB" on their parking garage and hotel. What a joke!!!!

i think greektown has the most interesting parking garages in the city, its dual spiral deck and the fact that its 13 floors... If your a gambler, the gaming floor is shit, even after renovations, the place still looks dirty to me.They must have the highest foot traffic being connect to the people mover, why is it they are still the lowesy revenu generating casino on the casino? Is it simply sq. ft. nums? Or just Bad Mgmt?

Greektown from the start was designed and built on the cheap and in a horrible location for a casino. It was doomed to be the worst of the 3 casinos, clueless owners and management.
That said, the new management team thats been running it under the bankruptcy, has been doing a great job with what they have to work with.
The numbers are way up, I think greektown was up 7 percent over the same month a year ago and MGM was down 7 percent.
The new 10 buck buffet and cheaper rooms are working.
I hated the place before, I went maybe 3 times since it opened.
I have gone about 7 times in the last 2 months on weekends, always busy, and the parking garage blows, horrible, but its what you get when you but too much casino/hotel on too little land. They need to turn off the car space counters, they never work right...

I have the perfect answer for all who are not happy with the Greektown Casino:

    Send me the cash!
I will pay 3 to 1 on every fifth gift.
No parking problem. No gas burned. No time wasted.

    disclaimer:
This is a joke, and is not to be construed as an illegal gambling scam.
Any casino that charges the patrons for drinks, with or without alcohol, is making money, despite what their books might show. That is the real scam.

Personally I think it is pretty cool seeing the floor of the garage drop off into oblivion instead of terminating at concrete wall. Having the walls replaced by cable fencing also allows you to get some great unobstructed scenery views of the city.

I used to like Greektown casino the best, but once they started renovating, it just didn't seem the same. Everything was very cramped and very little table gaming [[outside of the poker room).

I hate the new Greektown garage, the loop to get in and out, I just don't like driving them.

I now prefer the new MGM, but needless to say with this economy, I can't afford to go to any of the casinos anymore.

Would you have prefered being 10 stories up in the parking structure and taking a ramp down one level, only to loop back around, then take a ramp down the next level, only to loop back around......

The way it is constructed, you save a lot of time getting in and getting out.

Now if you have middle ear or dizziness issues spiraling up or down, that's another matter....

The real question is, "When will Greektown Casino get bathroom attendants"?
    Anybody? DetroitDad?
