Are they the usual downtown buildings we've seen before or anything new that's not in their Detroit News library?

    Opps, looks like a rerelease.

It is a reprint. If you are familiar with the original first published and then this version with the 80's additions it is a very significant book for historical value.
It has not been available for over thirty years. It is not a picture book. It is more of a history book with pictures. You probably can find all the pictures you want at the library if that is all you arer looking for.

This is arguably the best publication on Detroit Buildings even though dated. Even Danny schleps it to the DetroitYES picnics.

Checking it on Amazon just now, used copies range from $80 to $100 indicating how much it has held its value. WSU putting out a reprint at $99 no doubt similarly tracks its publications and must have figured there was a market for it. Why not a fresh copy for the same price?

The recent years' rise of national and international interest in all things Detroit had to have helped in that decision too.
