Bob Bopp, GPSH hockey coach, arrested for child pornography, etc

Scary. This guy has coached South's hockey since 1992, my freshman year there.

He has been charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of child sexually abusive activity, distributing obscene material to children, and providing alcohol to a minor.

I did a double take on this one. On the 5PM news WDIV called him Robert Bopp. I was listening in the other room and thought they said Robert Bobb.

Reminds me of my high school days in the early 70's. There was a coach who flaunted the age difference with younger girls at will. We all complained to authorities, but nothing happened. I't took several years to catch up with him.

Of all people's children not to send perverted emails to, Bopp sent innappropriate emails to the son of Scott Lewis, Problem Solver, when he was playing hockey. This brings media attention to the fact that GPSHS released a statement saying Bob Bopp had no incidents of innappropriateness in his file.

Thank G-d he made that mistake, otherwise the problem would have gone undetected for longer.
