Thx! You are so right about putting together the architect and their catalog of work. What started me was you had either architect or building but never both together and everyone assumed you knew where the building was and address' were almost always left out. I decided to do a lost and found of sorts so eveyone can find our treasures! Now I have this animal that keeps growing.

Here's a similar Agree apartment building on the corner of Chicago and Lawton.

Most of the apartment buildings in that neighborhood on Chicago, Rochester and Boston between Linwood and Dexter are no longer standing. As late as the mid-70's this neighborhood was chock-a-block with low and mid-rise apartment buildings that were somewhat older, but similar, to those in the Palmer Park neighborhood. Now, there are mostly vacant lots.

Wirt Rowland was working with Augustus O'Dell at the time they designed Marie Elementary School. The firm was "O'Dell and Rowland, Associate Architects." Here is a photo of the architects and contractors from a film made of the schools construction, available on the school's site here.

Working on other research I came across a school history which has O'Dell & Diehl as the architects of the building. The research was done by the Grosse Pointe Historical Society. Was Rowland employed by O'Dell & Diehl at the time? Or is the GPHS' research wrong?

Thx for the info! That makes more sense as I have just found a home on Moran in Grosse Pointe Farms designed in 1936 by O'Dell and Rowland. I wonder how Diehl fits into the equation?
